Marlo Town

The small village of Marlo, has a population of around 300 residents and is a well kept secret on the most desirable of destinations list. Just 15 minutes from Orbost and the Princes Highway. With wetlands, rainforest, sand dunes and backwaters, the estuary boasts some of the best perch and bream fishing to be found anywhere. Along with yellow eyed mullet, trevally, tailor, luderick, and other associated species. Marlo is truly a fisherman's paradise. Winter brings the excitement of trawling for salmon and tailor in the estuary. The sheltered waters allow fishing year round in most weather conditions. We are only a few minutes drive to a number of surf beaches such as Point Ricardo, famous for its great catches of large salmon, tailor, gummy shark, flathead and mullet.
